i breathe your poison

Just sitting in my car, minding my own business, and seemingly out of nowhere, a lung full of smoke. It would piss-off anyone, but as a cancer survivor, it's particularly infuriating.

I'm a reformed smoker, the worst kind. I started smoking at the ripe old age of 14 and quit when I was 24.

Now, I am 50 and STILL have dreams where I am smoking and I wake up craving one.

But, the smell of it? Ugh. It makes me gag.

Thank God.

I swear sometimes I'll drive over a fresh discarded cigarette butt, and I can smell it in my car for miles. Boy, that irks me.
